The Breeders are back with a new album under their belt. Mountain Battles was released on April 8th to critical success with Blender stating, "The result is slight but often gorgeous, as Deal’s wafting voice strikes upon melodies pretty and eerie." Kim Deal of the Pixies, and founding member of the Breeders, hit commercial success in the 90's with her hit single "Cannonball." "Overglazed" off of Mountain Battles has been described by Rolling Stone as "the best indie-rock orgasm ever." So perhaps the Deal sisters have a new hit on their hands. Nonetheless, Mountain Battles is pretty great and an album "late Breeders fan Kurt Cobain would have loved."
