Tuesday, May 27th - Filter with Ours and Opiate for the Masses

It has been about six years since Filter has released an album and the band as well as front man Richard Patrick has been through a lot of changes (including a few side projects and a Filter hiatus). Finally though, Filter is back with a brand new album and they are taking Philadelphia by storm Tuesday, May 27th and taking their post grunge/industrial rock sounds to the stage at the TLA.

Filter’s new album, Anthems for the Damned, takes the band through many different styles, which is what Filter has been known for doing since 1993. One song will be a heavier affair with a industrial feel to it, only for the next song to be a mid-paced acoustic romper. Patrick keeps the listener on their toes with every new song. The album sums up the passed six years and gives fans insight about what has been going on with the band including Richard Patrick’s stint in rehab, band members runs in side projects, and their opinions on the current state of the world. Overall, it is exactly what Filter fans have been waiting for and Anthems for the Damned does not disappoint.

Filter makes their way to the TLA Thursday, May 27th to bring their industrial rock sounds to the stage with Ours and Opiate for the Masses. Make sure to catch this show. It’s going to be one people will be talking about!
